Who am I?
Our team
Emma Luchian
Clinical Psychology Registrar
I am a Registered Psychologist with over five years of experience in the mental health settings.
Before becoming a psychologist, I worked in a corporate environment, where I gained insight into the pressures, expectations, and emotional demands many individuals quietly carry. That experience deepened my appreciation for the role mental health plays in overall wellbeing and ultimately led me to pursue a career in psychology.
As psychologist, I have provided therapy to children, adolescents, and adults across a range of presentations. My experience includes supporting individuals navigating significant health challenges, such as concussion and limb amputation, battling addiction, as well as those facing emotional, relational, and identity-related concerns.
I have a particular interest in working with individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. With lived experience navigating life within a dominant culture, I understand the complexities of identity, belonging, and intergenerational expectations. My approach is culturally responsive, empathetic, and grounded in evidence-based practice.
To support accessibility and deeper self-exploration, I offer therapy in English, French, Romanian, and Spanish. Being able to engage in therapy in your preferred language can create greater comfort, clarity, and emotional depth in the therapeutic process.
At the core of my work is a commitment to providing a collaborative and respectful space where clients feel genuinely understood and supported in making meaningful change.
Why call it a team if I am the only practitioner?
Although Panaah Psychology is an independent practice, I use the term “team” intentionally.
Therapy is not something done to you, it is something we engage in together. The therapeutic process is a collaborative partnership, where your insight, values, and lived experience are just as important as clinical expertise.
In this space, there are two essential contributors:
The psychologist, bringing training, structure, and evidence-based guidance.
You, bringing self-awareness, courage, and lived experience.
Lasting change happens when both work together.
At Panaah Psychology, I view therapy as a shared process grounded in mutual respect, active participation, and a commitment to meaningful growth.
